MBA Spain and Portugal are the foundations of the company. MBA is the leading independent supplier of the reference market.
Our beginnings date back to 1988, when a little group of people belonging to the traumatology and orthopedics fields established a little company located in Asturias with the aim to do things differently as they had been done so far. From the beginning, MBA had a different spirit: it looked for the dialog with the surgeons, thinking of their needs and providing real solutions.
In only a year, the success reached by MBA leads it to expand with the objective of answering to needs of surgeons from other regions: Madrid, Eastern Spain, Catalonia, Andalusia… thus, each year it covered more and more regions.
Which started being and adventure in the spine field, it began to spread to other fields: knees, hips, orthopedics, biological products. In 1995 MBA already offered a huge range of solutions for the specialists in traumatology and orthopedics.
In 1999, Porto and Lisbon are integrated in the MBA structure to have a good coverage in the Portuguese market.
In 2000, the last delegations are established: MBA Castilla La Mancha and MBA Extremadura. With this step, MBA finishes its territorial expansion, reaching an optimal coverage in the Iberian Peninsula.
In 2002, MBA introduces a five year strategic plan with the objective of improving the information management, the technology update and the company professionalization.
In 2007, the strategic plan is finished after reaching all our objectives and after achieving a huge growth, which turn MBA into the leading independent company in its sector.
